French Bean Subzi
Another wonderful and easy recipe that will be ready in no time at all! Enjoy the taste of delectable French beans with the richness of cashews and coconut!
Ingredients
French Beans – ½ KG
Cashew nuts – a handful (about 10 – 12)Scraped Coconut – ½ cup
Cooking oil – 2 teaspoons
Green chili – 1 (Adjust according to your spice requirement)Salt to taste
Instructions
Wash and cut the french beans into 1 inch pieces. Chop the cashew nuts – make sure they are not powdered.
Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium flame.
Add a slit green chilli
Add the French beans and cover. It is important to cover so that the french beans don’t change colour.
Wait for 2 minutes, add salt, stir, and cover again.
After 5 minutes, add the chopped cashew, stir and cover.
After 2 minutes, add the coconut scrapings and mix well.
Serve Hot with roti or rice.
You can also eat it plain as a snack but just make sure to reduce the spice!
